Widowhood by TVT

“Widowhood” by TVT

When our lives are shattered by grief, it's up to us to pick up the pieces and make life beautiful again...

In the early days of widowhood the thought of ever making life beautiful again when the love of your life is no longer beside you seems…

Impossible.

Where do you start?

How do you get through such devastating pain?

Or, perhaps you’re a little further along since your loss and sense that there is possibility, but feel “stuck” and can’t see a pathway forward…

Now what?

While your grief journey and timeline will be unique to you, as your widow mentor I will meet you wherever you are and help guide you through your darkest days with non-judgmental support. I will hold compassionate space for and help you bring perspective to the rollercoaster ride of grief’s emotions. I will help you release the burden of guilt, and assist you in identifying old wounds which may be hindering your ability to move forward. I will share tools and resources to help you build physical, emotional, social, and spiritual resilience. I will show you ways to cultivate an ongoing relationship with your loved one, while making space for new healing experiences. For those of you who are pursuing new relationships, I will share strategies to help you find the balance between what was and what can be. I will ride alongside you as you navigate toward your own happily “even” after: a beautiful life which honors your loved one- filled with peace, joy, purpose and meaning.

The journey through widowhood can be so deeply painful and disorienting, but it can also be transformative- in a good way. I would be honored to work with you- let’s schedule a call.

‘Widow’ is a big word that now identifies this new reality we all do not want to accept. Being a part of this new identity is so painful and In the midst of such turmoil I met Tanya. Tanya’s guidance, sensitivity, wisdom , transparency and care brought me comfort. Her wisdom to pass through the waters of grief were of great help.
I could not have traveled this journey without her and now my identity as a widow has become a badge of honor that I hold dearly. Thank you Tanya for bearing witness and becoming my soul. friend.

Tanya’s understanding and empathy during a difficult period was validating and so valuable. Her support and presence was a guiding light in the dark days of uncertainty and pain. Tanya’s welcoming, kind and non-judgmental nature, created a safe space for healing through my grief journey. Connecting with Tanya gave me hope for the future and let me know I wasn’t alone. Widowhood is so overwhelming and debilitating at times, and it’s so important to have the type of support I found in Tanya. Her compassion and encouragement helped me through the struggles of loss, and I’m so grateful!

I am a 79 year old man who lost my wife of 54 years 3 years ago. Tanya was facilitator of a face-to-face support group that I used and also I also had some 1 on 1 sessions with her.

Tanya is excellent at bringing her own experience (she “gets it”), her training, and her compassion and skill to bear. She has been excellent at helping me to understand and reframe my situation and to develop hope for the future.
